DEL DESIERTO LAKE EXCURSION

Hidden among thick forests of southern beech, some 23 miles from El Chaltén, lays the del Desierto Lake, a paradise of trees, glaciers and waters of insurmountable beauty. This excursion goes across the Lake, includes all the information about the area, its history and geography, and an optional hike from the Border Police Post on the northern side to the Centinela viewpoint (this is a self-guided walk).
